Every child dreams of being a firefighter at one time or another. Here is your chance to make your child’s birthday dream come true! Read below for details and information on how to book your party!
Birthday Party Day Overview
The first hour of the birthday party is held on the second floor at our birthday party tables. When the birthday party child & parent(s) are ready, the second hour begins with the birthday child being dressed as the Fire Chief and all the children & guests are led by Museum staff to our Education Center. The hour begins with a brief presentation & rules by our staff which is followed by the children playing on our red fire truck, dressing up in fireman gear, and practicing sliding down the firefighter pole.
Set Up & Decorating
You may bring as many decorations as you’d like, but we ask that you not tape, tack, or staple any decorations to the walls. Piñatas are not allowed. Many families bring balloons to tie to the chairs and festive table clothes to put over the birthday party tables. We recommend keeping it easy and fast! Remember, you will need to stick to your 2 hour time slot. You will not be able to come in early, so plan accordingly.

Based on our experiences with other parties, hosts/hostesses commonly bring pizza, sandwiches, bagels, cupcakes, cake, ice cream, juice, or soda. However, you may bring whatever you would like! In order to help keep our exhibits safe, we ask that you keep all food items in the designated party area upstairs. To make this easier, a staff member will greet your guests at the front door and send them up to the birthday area to meet you. We ask that your party remain as a group upstairs until you have completed all food related activities.
Clean-up of the party area and removal of trash from the building is your responsibility. The museum staff will provide a broom and dustpan, but you will need to bring a trash bag, and are responsible for taking your trash out of the Museum.
The price of the party is $6.00/person. This includes children 2+ as well as any adults that attend the party. Payment can be taken care of once the party is over to ensure that the final headcount is correct. Included in this price, each child attending the party will receive a toy fire helmet and sticker badge as they leave the museum.
